The fit apple pie that does not take sugar and everyone can make it in less than 30 minutes

It only needs five ingredients and no puff pastry. It is extremely easy to prepare, even for those who are not good at cooking.

When we see an apple pie being made on TV, it always seems complicated and that only someone with a lot of talent in the kitchen can make it. More than enough reason not to venture out and try to make one and end up buying one of the discounted options at patisseries and supermarkets. However, not all recipes are difficult to prepare. There are already versions that even those who hate cooking can make and, unlike the ones we find ready-made, they are healthier and just as delicious.

Apples are rich in calcium, magnesium, potassium, copper, zinc and vitamins B, C and E. Bonus: they have only 52 calories per 100 grams. As if that wasn’t enough, it still contains fiber that helps control satiety. It is one of the most consumed fruits in Portugal and one of the first to be included in children’s food.

And they have another plus: they’re great to include in desserts, allowing you to create delicious, guilt-free dining options. Nutritionist Catarina Faria’s apple pie is proof of that. The nutritionist’s recipe uses no typical puff pastry or sugar and is ready in less than 30 minutes.

What do you need

Materials for the base:

— 2 cups oat flour
— 1/2 cup almond flour
— 2 tablespoons of honey
— 4 tablespoons of coconut oil

Ingredients for the filling:

— Applesauce: 5 apples cooked with cinnamon

Garnish / on top of the pie:

— 2 to 3 apples cut into slices
– cinnamon to taste
— honey qb

How do we do it

Preheat the oven to 185 degrees. Add all the ingredients for the base and mix until we have a homogeneous mass. Then place it in the base of a baking tray lined with parchment paper and press it down and up the sides. Bake in the oven until golden brown (about 10 minutes).

Bake the apples with cinnamon to taste. When they are cooked, grind everything until you get a homogeneous puree. Spread the puree over the base of the tart. Cut 2 apples into thin slices and place them on top of the puree. Sprinkle with cinnamon and a little honey. Bake for another 10 minutes.
