Sony updates PS5 consoles with new software. Here’s the news!

Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) today announced the latest system software update for consoles PlayStation 5 is available worldwide starting today. It’s one of the biggest updates coming to Apple’s next-gen console. sony.

Already the improvements are reaching Portugal and they are multiple. It is really one of the updates that you should install as soon as possible to enjoy everything that is added, improved or fixed to the most popular game console in our country.

There are almost 30 improvements for the Sony PlaySation 5 console

  1. 1440p video output has been extended to PlayStation®5 and VRR (variable refresh rate) is now supported at 1440p resolution.
  2. More HDMI functions and devices are now supported. If gamers want to check if their HDMI devices support this feature, they just need to go to Settings > Display & Video > Video Output > 1440p Output Test.
  3. Going forward, players will be able to transfer data between consoles PlayStation 5. This process does not remove or modify data from the ps5 prototype;

  9. The trophy tile has been moved and updated, making trophy progress easier to see and access.

  11. The Cross-Play feature has received the following update: Cross-Play title game session cards allow you to see members playing on other platforms.
  12. The following features have been added to Game Base: players can now send a screen share request or start sharing their screen with a friend directly from their profile.
  13. Friends who are active on PlayStation app are now presented with the online status of their friends list.
  14. Going forward, players will be able to customize the preferred order of titles in their game library and use library filters to easily find games compatible with PlayStation VR and PlayStation®VR2;
  15. With this update players will also be able to set their preferences to manage who can join and who can invite other players to multiplayer sessions created by them in supported games.
  16. The way data storage is controlled when downloading or installing a game has also changed. For example, if it is a game for PlayStation®4 and players have no save data in console storage, they will be notified if they have save data in PlayStation 4 available in cloud storage. If it is game for PlayStation®5 from which you can use saved data PlayStation 4 and have not been saved to console storage, they will be notified if they have saved data from the console.
