The Lions, who had won the trophy in the last two editions of the competition, even started well, building a two-goal lead
Quinta dos Lobos secured their first appearance in the Indoor League Cup final after beating Sporting 5-4 on penalties following a 2-2 draw at the end of regular time.
The Lions, who have won the trophy in the last two editions of the competition, started well, taking a two-goal lead still in the first half, but allowed a stoic response from Quinta dos Lombos, who salvaged an equalizer in the second leg and, motivated by this, he was more effective on penalties.
The team from the municipality of Oeiras will now find in the final match, this Sunday (21:00), the winner of the other semi-final, this evening (21:00) between Benfica and Sporting de Braga.
With the match regulations not providing for extra time, the decisions immediately went to penalties, where Quinta dos Lombos missed just one chance, the Lions seeing Erick hit the crossbar and Zicky Tê allow the goalkeeper to save, completing the abortion.
