It seems like, in a fashion week context, people tend to feel more comfortable with bold looks and doing some crazy things without being so afraid of judgement, right? At least that’s what I feel even when I go to Sao Paulo Fashion Week. If you choose a basic outfit, that’s fine, and if you prefer an elaborate setting, that’s fine too. At these events, I feel like any style goes, and no one is better at dressing a certain way, and I feel the same way about street style International. Recently, the Copenhagen Fashion Weekwho always offer authentic looks, which doesn’t necessarily mean I want to wear them, but there’s no doubt that they inspire me to step out of my comfort zone and encourage me to experiment and play with different combinations, textures and volumes.
With that in mind, I brought this column text* 12 looks that hit the streets of the Danish capital and can also encourage you to explore your personality through fashion without worrying about possible ‘mistakes’. Fun is what counts! 😉
The European city is experiencing winter, so although we can’t take the coats out of the closet right away here in Brazil, you can save the photos and leave them as inspiration for the next season.
oversized
We’ve heard too much of the outdated “tip” that, to achieve the “perfect balance” when wearing an oversized garment, it’s necessary to pair it with another that’s more fitted. You can forget it, see? These photos prove it Full looks with a loose and exaggerated shape are super stylish! So the suggestion of the day is to leave this rule aside and play with the volume in a more dramatic way. If you like it, great; if not, no problem. Worth a try!
mixture of colors
I confess: I have a hard time using vibrant colors together. However, while searching for the agenda, I came across these images and thought: “How cool, why don’t I do this more often?”. The point is not that we have to get into every trend, that’s not it. But trying to figure out why I think it’s amazing to others and not to me – in my case, maybe it’s more of a self-esteem issue. on the other hand, maybe I try it and still feel uncomfortable, and then that’s part of it, right?
A good trick is to start coloring with the accessories and include some black element in the composition. Blue and yellow and green and pink work really well together!
Ah, this content creator is the Nnenna Echemone of my favorite to inspire me in colorful and fashionista looks <3
mix of styles
Speaking of mixes and different ideas… Fashion week seems to be a safe space to mix styles into a single look. In this one, from the influencer Emily Sindlevfor example, the blazer, which gives off a formal face, got a relaxed look from the cap and sneakers, in addition to the floral tie and yellow mini skirt.
So the aim is to put together a line-up of clothes traditionally marketed as specifically for casual occasions with others that read as ‘dressy’. Want to do this challenge with what you have in your closet? Respecting your tastes and limits, of course!
A touch of personality to the basics
Over-the-top editing not your style? Relax, no street style it also has such a classic and basic look! The ~cat hop~ is they bring a touch of personality to the result. That is, a neutral couture outfit, for example, is more interesting with a printed hair scarf or with metallic silver boots.
The cuts of the pieces are another ~detail~ worth paying attention to. And accessories such as vintage glasses with frames, a chain necklace or even the hairstyle complete everything with a golden key!
Here, the outfit was more attractive with printed pants and a denim bag. What would you say?
And, in this case, the influencer Emma Fridzel shows that a simple white tank top can be part of a statement full of attitude with a knitted midi skirt, burgundy coat with pink fur and pretty makeup, not to mention pink hair.
So, which of these Copenhagen Fashion Week looks inspired you to explore new combinations in your next pick?
