Complaint to the ERC. Santiago Lagoá had already apologized to the choir group – Actualidade

Santiago Lagoá is no longer the presenter of the program “Somos Portugal”, on TVI, similar to what happened with Ben. A few days later, several media outlets reported that the dismissal would allegedly relate to a complaint received by the Social Communications Regulatory Authority (ERC) following a comment made by the presenter about the Amigos do Rosário choir’s performance.

Then, as you can confirm through a post made by the team itself on social networks, it was sorry for what happened.

“We would like to thank you for all the messages of love to our team… We came to inform our friends and followers that we have already apologized to TVI and the presenter Santiago Lagoá. We accept but we don’t forget. We were upset that they cut us a 3 minute fashion. Anyway, this is what we have. We will continue, as always, to sing with the same desire for the promotion of our land and people. Long live the Alentejo!”.

Not being indifferent to such words, Santiago left the following comment on the post made last July:

“Good morning, I fully understand your rebellion and from now on, with all the respect your team deserves, I offer my sincere apologies. It was never my intention to disparage your art, even though it may seem that way. He would never refer to me in a malicious way, nor is this record what defines me. All arts should be uplifted and loved, especially when they are on a platform that allows them to reach the entire country.

My report, although unfortunate I admit, was directed at my colleague and not your team, I would never have done that. I missed the knowledge that at the time I was speaking your group was still in action, which I was not aware of. I understand that this seemed different to you, and I can only leave here a sincere apology, also wishing you to keep alive your traditions, which greatly enhance the culture of our country and which I admire very much.”
